Surrey Cricket’s development team organise one of the most comprehensive and successful cricket coaching programmes in the country. Our high-quality courses teach children the basic skills of batting, bowling and fielding through group coaching and games, with an emphasis on developing confidence, skills and an enjoyment of the game. All the courses are run by fully ECB-qualified coaches with a ratio of around one coach for every eight children. All coaches are also trained first-aiders and have passed the CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checks necessary to be safe and responsible coaches. The development courses also act as a talent identification tool for selection into post Christmas performance courses as well as the District and County Age Group programmes. All of the development courses include a complimentary junior pass for the 2009 season, which gives free admission to the following matches: LV County Championship, NatWest Pro40 League (including Floodlit) and the Friends Provident Trophy. Junior pass holders also receive a Goody Bag, which will be sent out in April 2009.
