Winston Churchill students may be able to help us with the marshalling but it is still useful to have extra people so it would help if each school could identify a marshal in case they are needed each week. Rules
Marshals should keep the pathway clear of obstructions and make sure children are going the right way. Please keep an eye open for stragglers at the end who may be injured, lost and upset at coming in at the end!
It is each school's responsibility to ensure the behaviour of their children and spectators. Please be vigilant and ensure that no one obstructs the runners at any point, especially at the end when they may be waiting for their number.
Spectators are asked to remain on the footpath and grassed area behind it on the Goldwater Lodge side of the Start. They should not cross the path onto the start and finish area.
Each school is asked to take responsibility for first aid for their pupils which may arise from the event, including minor cuts and grazes, breathing difficulties, administering medicines (i.e. inhalers), etc. Please note there are no toilets at this venue.
Goldsworth Park The area is a public open space, and Woking Borough Council gives us permission to use it for our cross country events each year. Please help by keeping a close eye on your children at all times - don't let them wander off or try running around the course when they are not taking part. Take all your litter home and remind children to collect belongings. These rules can be downloaded below.
